College and career readiness begins at birth.  Reading to your child every day from birth through early childhood adds up.  Studies show that children of families that read to them every day and who keep a home library of books are significantly more likely to graduate from high school ready for their postsecondary plans.

Career exploration is also important in the early years, in addition to cultivating a love for learning, curiosity, problem-solving and resilience.  At the Julia Goldstein Early Childhood Center our district teachers implement best practices using the Reggio Emilia approach to learning.  This approach cultivates academic preparedness and mindset so that children are ready for elementary school and beyond.
